A tale of two halves from Sothwater on SAturday wher Beeding turned around a 2-0 half time deficit into a 3-2 away win after some tough and frank words from manager Mick Barry during the interval.
Beeding were first to show in the 3rd minute, when Mark
Salter's near post cross was met by Lee Strange's flick, only to be denied
by the crossbar.
On 8 minutes Steve Barber conceded a free kick on th
eright. The deep cross was retreived by Southwaters Phil Pollard whose
return cross was bundled in at the near post by Neil Everard.
Southwaters 2nd came on 21 minutes when Scott Redfern, in the Beeding goal, let slip the softest of touches through his fingers as Luca Belenchia, under pressure from Jamie Ireson, squeezed the ball through the keepers hands and legs.
Following a great deal of second half preesure from Beeding, the breakthrough cam after 65 minutes. Southwatres defence failed to clear an inswingig Mark Salter corner and Steph Greton found the roof of the net with a right foot shot.
5 minutes later Beeding were level. Vic Grettons through ball found Stuart Barry, his cross was headed past Purkiss in the Southwater goal by Lee Strange.
With only 2 minutes remaining Beeding went in front. Lovett
misjudged a high ball in the Southwater defence, Lee Stranges' pace
took him away and his chip beat Purkiss to find the back of the net.
