Dear Parents & Footballers,
Upper Beeding 13 – Capel Youth 0
At long last a game of football. Considering the awful weather conditions it was decided to play the game, firstly at Buckingham Park and then eventually at home.
From the off it was a one sided game with Chris Brownings only having to make a couple of vital saves to keep a clean sheet.
We thank Capel Youth for making the effort to travel down from their home ground at Dorking.
It was only a matter of time as the weather went from bad to worse before the 'B teams' game was shortened and eventually abandoned. Well done to the 'B team' who braved the elements to have a well-deserved draw.
Man of the match went to Ashley Clark for braving the elements and providing a solid attack.
Hopefully we can start rearranging some lost games from the beginning of the season, we will keep you posted.
