Dear Parents & Footballers

Upper Beeding A 2 - Roffey Robins 1

We had action all the way in this very exciting close match against RRFC. But it was not long before the boys held their own and turned the tide and took the lead from an excellent goal crossed by Matt Middleton and finished in true Sean Barry style.

This all happened in the second half with RRFC equalising within minutes. The management and supporters had an agonising wait until two minutes from the end when 'Man of the Match' Sean Barry scored his second from a well-struck shot from David Gardiner.

Well done RRFC we can honestly say that was the toughest opposition yet, good luck for the rest of the season, see you in 2001. A big thank you for Nigel Baldock for referring all morning.

For those of you interested in the stat's, that's 14 months without a defeat. RRFC had not lost all season this was their first defeat. Two or three of RRFC players are at the Southampton FC youth development centre.

We must also mention that the 'B Team' had another tremendous 3 –3 draw in their game, well done.
